Noted Author Manages Olympic Hopeful
International author and artist Van G. Garrett, known for publishing poetry in Europe, Africa, and the United States, can now add manager to his resume. Garrett, a former  USA amateur boxing coach and assistant coach for the Texas Southern University Boxing Club trained Jennifer ‘Jiffy’ Morales when she was a collegiate contender. Approaching a second degree in psychology from TSU in May, Jiffy, The Boxing Princess is preparing for the Olympic evaluation process in Colorado later this summer, a  rigorous process that challenges athletes' mental and physical abilities. A journey that her manager thinks will be a great experience for his protégé.  

“Jiffy has a lot of heart. I think the evaluating committee will see the energy and talent that she brings to the sport,” Garrett said.   

The Boxing Princess, her respected and highly sought-after coach, Steve 'Slava'  Kozakov, and Garrett are anticipating Jiffy's May 16th bout in Bryan, TX.
